(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, attended President’s Cup endurance race held at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba.
The event was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, Dubai Deputy Ruler and UAE Minister of Finance; H.E. Sheikh Mansour, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.E. Sheikh Sultan, President’s Advisor and Chairman of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation and Sheikh Khalid.
The 160-kilometre race was contested by 128 riders from the UAE and other countries for a cash prize of Dh1.5 million, plus four cars. Dr Sheikh Hazza won the championship, riding ‘Glenmorgan’. He was followed by the two times champion Sultan Al Boloushi who rode ‘Cronos’, while Fatima Al Marri finished third.
