Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), recently oversaw the final preparations for the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) at Expo Centre Sharjah. The fair, themed ‘We Speak Books,’ is set to run from November 1 to 12 and will be the largest edition to date, with 108 participating countries.
During her visit, Sheikha Bodour, accompanied by SBA’s CEO Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Khoula Al Mujaini (General Coordinator of SIBF), and Mansour AlHassani (Director of Publishers Services at SBA), praised the dedicated efforts of SBA’s organizing and volunteering teams. She emphasized the event’s vital role in enriching culture and literature, bolstering the publishing sector on both local and global fronts. She eagerly anticipates an exceptional edition of SIBF this year, scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
