Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Visits World Coffee 2024

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, visited the third edition of the World of Coffee 2024 exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, which runs until January 23.

During his visit, His Highness emphasized Dubai’s role as a key player in shaping the future of global trade by providing top-notch infrastructure and services to connect markets worldwide. He highlighted Dubai’s commitment to excellence and innovation, showcasing its emergence as a hub for global trade in major commodities. Sheikh Mohammed expressed confidence in achieving the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s goals, aiming to raise foreign trade to AED25.6 trillion and expand the emirate’s global reach to 400 additional cities over the next decade.

His Highness, accompanied by His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, was briefed about the exhibition, featuring 1,650 local and international exhibitors. The World of Coffee 2024 expo, organized by DXB Live in collaboration with the Specialty Coffee Association, is a crucial event in the global coffee industry, providing a platform for over 1,650 companies and brands to showcase coffee products and services. The exhibition covers everything from green and roasted coffee beans to beverage preparation devices, roasting services, flavorings, and packaging solutions.

The event, hosting 60 UAE-based companies and brands, includes informative lectures by industry professionals. Several exciting competitions, such as the UAE National Barista and Latte Art Championship, the Coffee Design Awards, and the Best New Product Awards, are also part of the exhibition. The World of Coffee 2024 aligns with the region’s coffee industry’s steady expansion, with market studies projecting continued growth. Data Bridge Market Research anticipates the coffee and Espresso drinks market in the MENA region to reach around US$1.33 billion by 2030, reflecting a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 2.6% from approximately US$1.085 billion in 2022.
