Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal Ranks 44th in World’s Top 50 Hotels 2023

The global ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 placed Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal at the 44th position. The prestigious list, unveiled at a London awards ceremony, featured outstanding hotels from 35 different locations across six continents. Atlantis The Royal, located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, celebrated its official opening on February 10 with a spectacular Beyoncé concert and breathtaking fireworks illuminating the Dubai skyline.

This 43-story, 185-meter property boasts an astounding 90 swimming pools, including a rooftop infinity pool suspended 96 meters above The Palm on level 22. Residents and guests can indulge in a selection of over 40 restaurants and eateries, along with personalized serviced a-la-carte packages.

Notable mentions from the list include Passalacqua, a luxurious boutique hotel in Lake Como, claiming the top spot, and Rosewood Hong Kong at second place. London also shone with four hotels on the list: Claridge’s (No.16), The Connaught (No.22), NoMad London (No.46), and The Savoy (No.47). Two other UK properties received recognition: Gleneagles in Scotland (No.32), honored with the Art of Hospitality Award, and The Newt in Somerset (No.37), recipient of the Carlo Alberto Best Boutique Hotel Award.

The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra represented India, securing the 45th position. Asia showcased its excellence with four properties at the top end of the list: Rosewood Hong Kong (No.2), Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River (No.3), The Upper House in Hong Kong (No.4), and Aman Tokyo (No.5). Soneva Fushi (No.7) took the title of the highest-ranked beachfront hotel. Three hotels in Africa made the list, including Singita Lodges in Kruger National Park, La Mamounia (No.6), and Royal Mansour (No.23), both located in Marrakech.

Timothy Kelly, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai, expressed his pride in the recognition, stating, “Being recognized on the inaugural list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels, just eight months after opening in Dubai, is a remarkable achievement that fills us with immense pride and gratitude. This accolade reflects the dedication and passion of all our colleagues in providing exceptional experiences to our guests from day one.”

The ranking is the result of reviews from 580 international experts, according to the ‘World’s 50 Best’ official website, who submit their top choices for hotel stays worldwide. The group also releases lists for restaurants and bars.
