The Organising Committee of the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has completed all preparations for the tournament’s eighth edition starting on 14th December near the historic Fujairah Fort.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Head of the Championship’s Organising Committee, announced the readiness at a press conference attended by Ali Al Kaabi, Deputy Head of the Organising Committee, and Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud.
Scheduled from 14th to 16th December 2023, the Championship brings together elite Arabian horse breeds and participants from the UAE and beyond.
Dr. Ahmed Al Zeyoudi highlighted the global recognition of the Championship, emphasizing Fujairah’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage. The total prize pool of AED4 million and the prestigious ‘Golden Sword of Fujairah’ underscore the event’s significance.
Ali Al Kaabi emphasized the Championship’s adherence to international judging standards, solidifying its position as a premier global equestrian event.
Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi discussed the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud’s sponsorship, recognizing its meaningful contribution to equestrian sports in the UAE.
The competition, featuring 18 rounds across six categories, spans Junior and Senior divisions, showcasing the elegance of purebred Arabian horses. The event is strategically timed during the UAE’s first school semester break.
