Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC) and head of the UAE Parliamentary Division at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held discussions today with Waven William, Chairperson of the International Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Seychelles and President of the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development of the IPU. The meeting, attended by several FNC members, focused on bolstering bilateral ties between the UAE and Seychelles. Both sides underscored the need for enhanced cooperation between the FNC and the National Assembly of Seychelles, emphasizing the significance of reciprocal visits, activating friendship committees, and collaborating on parliamentary expertise. The dialogue also delved into the achievements of the parliamentary meeting during the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), hosted by the FNC in collaboration with the IPU. The participants emphasized the importance of preserving and translating the gains from the conference into national plans and projects.
