During his visit to the Republic of Austria on January 11, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of the Interior, engaged in discussions with Gerhard Carter, the Austrian Federal Minister of the Interior. The meeting, attended by Hassan Musa Shafi’i and a delegation from Bahrain, focused on enhancing security cooperation and sharing experiences. The Austrian Federal Minister welcomed Sheikh Rashid, emphasizing the role of the visit in fostering cooperation, security coordination, and the pursuit of common goals. Sheikh Rashid highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to security and stability under the visionary leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the esteemed government led by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The ministers discussed cooperation in various security areas, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts and purposeful initiatives in addressing global security challenges. During the meeting, a “Declaration of Intent” was signed between the Interior Ministries of Bahrain and Austria, focusing on documenting security cooperation in law enforcement and criminal justice, with plans to activate the declaration through ongoing communication and coordination.
