
(Brussels) – The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Brussels Organized, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels the Bahrain Plastic Art Exhibition, titled “Forming one and three directions “.
It was held under co-sponsorship of MP Ivo Vajgl, the Chairman of the Group of Friends of Bahrain in the European Parliament and member of the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. Participating in the exhibition were artists Lubna Al Ameen, Faiqa Hassan and Nabila Al Khair whose fine paintings have reflected their visions in how to deal with varied life style-topics in total harmony.
To this, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi, has hailed the “beautiful participation” in that it highlighted the role of Bahraini women in artistic and cultural activities in the country as well as in other multiple fields, praising the artists’ outstanding artworks that won the audience’s admiration.
Dr. Jishi described the exhibition as a real opportunity for detecting the artists’ visions and interaction with various humanitarian situations and an occasion to spotlight the presence of Bahraini women in cultural activities that have reflected the civilized image of the Kingdom of Bahrain in front of the European audience. Attending the exhibition were a number of European Parliament MPs and Diplomatic Corps as well as Belgian officials and some friends of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including writers, intellectuals and art fans.
