H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the Tarahum – for Gaza campaign center in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by government officials including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, and Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi. His Highness toured the inaugural collection center at Abu Dhabi Ports Hall in Mina Zayed, praising the community’s efforts to provide essential humanitarian aid to Palestinians affected by the conflict in Gaza.
The campaign is a part of the UAE’s commitment to alleviate the humanitarian crisis for Palestinians, aligning with its policy of offering rapid relief in times of crisis, reflecting the country’s dedication to humanitarian values. The UAE prioritizes the well-being of the Palestinian people in its foreign aid efforts, particularly for vulnerable groups like children and women.
The Emirates Red Crescent, in collaboration with the World Food Programme, oversees the campaign, with coordination from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Community Development. Over 4,500 volunteers from the UAE played a crucial role in preparing 13,000 relief packages, which included food supplies and packages for children, mothers, and women, with support from more than 20 relief and humanitarian organizations.
