(Dubai) – The strategy and development sector of the Office of H.H. The Crown Prince of Dubai, CPD, has achieved a global recognition for being the first entity in the world to receive the ISO 9001:2015 certificate from Lloyd’s Register, the British institution specialized in the assessment of global institutions and certification in accordance with the standards of ISO.
Saif bin Markhan Ketbi, Director-General of CPD, said, “This global achievement, in all its meanings of precession, leadership and pursuit of first place, is actually a continuation of our journey of corporate development and adoption of modern management systems, initiated by our three sectors obtaining the previous version of the ISO certificate (9001: 2008) in addition to the ISO certification for the entire Office in information security system (ISO 27001:2013); all this in less than a year which is a record time,” he said.
“These certificates are not the end, but it is the beginning of our journey for the organisational excellence and paving the way for other developmental projects such as self-assessment using the methodology of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme developed from the European Foundation for Quality Management. This qualifies us in the near future to enter in the arena of competition with administrative and functional categories,” he continued.
“The series of these successes and global accomplishments come in tune with constant guidance and close follow up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, regarding our orientation towards excellence in general and in the area of smart government transformation in particular,” Al Ketbi concluded.
