(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, attended at the Emirates Palace an event held to mark the Zayed Humanitarian Day, in memory of the UAE founder the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Present were H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and a number of officials.
Sheikh Mansour said on the occasion that humanitarian work has become a way of life in the UAE and a cultural value upheld by the leadership and people of the UAE, who are following the foot steps of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in promoting giving and playing a positive role in the development of communities.
Sheikh Mansour added that the Khalifa Foundation will continue its humanitarian scheme in the UAE and abroad. He praised the generous contributions by the Foundation’s strategic partners.
At the sidelines of the event, sheikh Mansour launched the Khalifa Foundation’s book, entitled ‘Pioneers of humanitarian works’. the book details the Foundation’s achievements since its inception.
He also honoured the 95 sponsors who supported the Foundation.
