UN Secretary-General condemns terrorist attack in Tripoli

(New York) – Antonio Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General, has condemned the terrorist attack on the High National Election Commission, HNEC, headquarters in Tripoli.

In a statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General on Libya, Guterres extended his condolences to the families of the victims and sincere sympathy to the wounded.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the United Nations to the implementation of the Action Plan for Libya and expressed his appreciation and support for the important efforts being carried out in this regard by his Special Representative, Ghassan Salame, who is working very closely with all parties.
