Southern governor chairs weekly Majlis
(Manama) – Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, has stressed the importance of meeting the citizens to identify their needs and living conditions, noting that regular weekly Majlises provide an opportunity to raise citizen-related issues.
He was speaking during his fourth weekly Majlis held at the Southern Governorate’s headquarters, in the presence of the governorate’s dignitaries.
The governor said that the governorate’s goals include not only identifying the citizens’ needs, but also improving the quality of services, as well as strengthening communication with various government departments to achieve sustainable development across the governorate.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali informed those present about the issues raised during his visits to the Majlises of dignitaries in the Southern Governorates, especially regarding the needs of the Zallaq village, noting that the governorate will embark on meeting the citizens’ needs in the service, social and security fields in the coming period, in coordination with the competent authorities.
The governor also discussed with the audience issues related to ways to develop the existing projects, as well as to implement new ones that meet the needs of various regions.
The Zallaq villagers expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the governor for his recent visit to their village, affirming their keenness on intensifying contacts with the governorate to achieve community partnership.
