Sheikh Mohammed Receives President of Liberia

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai received at Marmoum Resthouse President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia and her accompanying delegation. Sheikh Mohammed and President Sirleaf explored the possibilities of opening up avenues of bilateral communication and finding appropriate means to bolster joint cooperation in various fields to serve mutual interests, notably in area of joint investment given the huge mineral wealth Liberia holds.
They also discussed the general political, economic, health and educational conditions in Africa, stressing the importance of political and security stability in the African countries as an essential and important step for sustainable economic and social development.
The Liberian president affirmed her country’s interest to benefit from Dubai’s experiment in managing its ports and establishing joint investment.
