President Khalifa holds talks with Lebanese President

President Khalifa holds talks with Lebanese President(Al-Ain) – President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President of Lebanon, General Michel Suleiman held talks at the Al-Rawdha Palace in Al Ain in the presence of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Khalifa welcomed the Lebanese President and the delegation accompanying him, and expressed the wish that the visit will promote and develop bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Lebanon. He hailed the special bond between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
During the meeting, both the leaders exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern in the light of the latest developments on the regional and international levels. President Khalifa asserted UAE’s keenness on seeing the people of fraternal Lebanon achieve security and stability, and on promoting opportunities and efforts to achieve growth and prosperity in Lebanon. The President said: “We are always solicitous to achieve the best by expanding the prospects of joint cooperation and benefit from the opportunities existing in both countries to serve mutual interests and welfare of both peoples”.
On his part, the Lebanese President expressed happiness over the opportunity to visit the UAE and meet with His Highness the President. He praised the unwavering and permanent stances of the UAE towards Lebanon that reflect the prudent vision and policy of the its leadership. He also noted the great support UAE lends Lebanon in different situations and occasions. President Suleiman said that the UAE is a model in the region with its comprehensive civilisational achievements, thanks to its wise leadership. He wished the UAE further progress and prosperity on all levels.
