Portuguese National Day celebrated in Bahrain

(Manama) – The Portuguese community in Bahrain celebrated their country’s National Day with dignitaries, families and friends.

The guest of honour, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished Portugal and its people further progress and prosperity.

Shaikh Abdullah hailed Bahrain’s relations with Portugal, stressing the kingdom’s keenness on achieving shared and common interests and boosting relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
