
(Dubai) – Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received Elias Murr, President of the Board of the Interpol Foundation for a Safer World, based in the Geneva, Switzerland, at His Highness’s Executive Office at Emirates Towers.
During the meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, the two sides reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between the concerned authorities in the country and the Interpol foundation, in the fight against organised crime in all its forms, in addition to working on developing the foundation’s work and its role in the Arab world through its World Bureau, which is planned to open in Dubai, and will be a global hub for the organisation’s work in the Arab region, and in its fight against economic, and organised crime.
Sheikh Mohammed has welcomed the plans for the bureau, and ordered that necessary steps be taken to complete the process and provide logistical support.
