OIC demands Qatar to honour its obligations

(Jeddah) – The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) stressed that it has been closely following up on the current developments in the Gulf region after a number of member states had cut diplomatic ties with Qatar based on information and evidences confirming its implication in hostile acts waged against them.

In a press release, the organisation demanded Qatar to honour its previous obligations and agreements signed under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council, mainly those pertaining to stopping support to the terror groups and their activities and media provocation.

OIC stressed the need for all member states, including Qatar, to adhere to the principles of the organisation’s charter which call for commitment to the policy of good neighbourliness, respect of sovereignty, independence and unity of the member states and no interference in their internal affairs.
