(Manama) – The Supreme Council for Health (SCH) is launching the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Health Plan 2016-2025 under the patronage of Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee on Public Finance & Expenditure Control, in the presence of ministers, Shura Councilors, MPs, officials and guests.
On this occasion, the Council’s President Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said the National Health Plan constitutes a key transformation in the development of the Kingdom’s health sector through the implementation of national initiatives aimed to continue the quality enhancement, sustainability and accessibility of health services provided to citizens.
The Cabinet had directed to effectively work to ensure the sustainability of flexible, easily accessible and timely healthcare services through a fully-integrated quality system.
The National Health Plan aims to ensure the provision of top quality health services, its funding and continuity and the provision of the requisite infrastructure and human resources to ensured its governance in line with the Government Action Plan and Bahrain’s Economic Vision2030. The plan also aims to develop the current healthcare system to continue to provide best quality comprehensive health services using the available resources.
The National Health Plan focused on seven strategic themes to create a highly efficient and sustainable healthcare system offers patients the option to choose their preferred healthcare provider.
