(Manama) – Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed R. Alzayani has met a delegation from “Expo Dubai2020” in presence Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs, Nader K. Almoayed, and Assistant Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Eman Al Dosary.
The delegation was led by SVP for Business Development and Integration, Manal AlBayat, accompanied with Business Development & Integration Manager Nasser Fakhro, and International Participation Manager Abdullah Khoury.
This visit was part of the GCC roadshow organized by Expo Dubai 2020 to explore the opportunities available for the Bahraini private sector and the business community for this unique expo.
On this occasion, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism affirmed government support and encouragement for all participations that highlight the advanced image of the Kingdom of Bahrain and reflect the economic reality and the steady growth witnessed by the Kingdom, especially in light of initiatives and steps undertaken by the government to economic growth and attract investments of all types.
The minister said: “The Kingdom of Bahrain is proud today of its strong presence in various international events and expos and has a clear footprint in most of these events, especially in light of leadership and government continuous support and encouragement to promote the country as a preferred destination for global investments and projects.”
He added that “Dubai Expo is an exceptional event in an exceptional country. In Bahrain, we always seek to share with our GCC brothers the cultural and future image of Bahrain, which our government seeks to draw its strategy through Bahrain Vision 2030, and participation in the Expo Dubai 2020 is qualitative leap and an experience, Bahraini business committee should take advantage of this experience.”
AlBayat said “Bahrain’s thriving business community has an important role to play in supporting Expo 2020 Dubai, and we want to ensure that companies are aware of the opportunities that exist and the mechanism of how they can be involved in helping us deliver a remarkable World Expo, which leaves a meaningful legacy for generations.”
“Expo 2020 Dubai is a chance to showcase their capabilities on a global stage and benefit from an environment that will encourage the fostering of partnerships and offer greater access to new markets,” she added.
