King backs Arab unity to stave off challenges

(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa affirmed Bahrain’s support to all efforts and steps to strengthen pan-Arab joint action.
He underscored the importance of unifying pan-Arab stances to tackle crucial issues and stave off challenges as the Arab nation goes through a defining moment of its history.
HM the King voiced Bahrain’s stance as he received at Al-Safriya Palace Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit, marking his visit to the Kingdom.
He hailed the dedicated efforts of the Arab-League chief and staff to enhance the work mechanisms of the Arab League, bolster Arab solidarity, defend just Arab causes and achieve the hopes and aspirations of Arab peoples towards a secure and stable future.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s stance, backing all initiatives and efforts to serve the Arab nation, strengthen its unity and maintain its security and stability.
“The current situation unfolding in the region requires unity, solidarity and joint work to confront all challenges”, HM the King said as he discussed developments in the Arab region.
Abul Gheit briefed HM the King on the role and efforts exerted by the Arab-League to unify stances between all Arab countries.
He thanked HM the King, hailing Bahrain’s honourable stances and support to the Arab-League to continue its role in serving the Arab nation and consolidating pan-Arab solidarity.
