(Manama) – Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij Al-Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF), appreciated His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of the BDSF for supporting the sports activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the activities for people with disabilities through their integration in the second edition of Khalid bin Hamad League for Youth Centers. The league comes as one of the generous initiatives of His Highness in supporting youth in the sports and humanitarian fields.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij said that integrating people with disabilities in the Khalid bin Hamad League for Youth Centers under the slogan “Meeting of Generations” for the second year confirms the direction of the sports leadership to integrate people with disabilities in various sports activities.

He pointed out that the generous step of His Highness supports the aspirations and visions of the BDSF Board of Directors, which is to enable people with disabilities to participate in one of the largest and most important leagues in the Kingdom, thereby affirming that they are an integral part of society.

He said: “There is no doubt that this care affirms that the people with disabilities category, is now a major part of the sports sector and that they are part of the programmes and activities. This makes us work harder and exert even more effort for the development and advancement for the sports of people with disabilities.”

Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij expressed his thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for this generous initiative, stressing that the BDSF Board of Directors are doing their best to develop sports to accomplish more honorable achievements for Kingdom. He wished success for the competitions of the league and success for those who are participating.
