Kensington Palace welcomes newest member of family

(London) – The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to her third child.

Kate, 36, delivered the baby boy, weighing 8lbs, 7oz, at the exclusive Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, at 11.01am on St George’s Day.

Her husband William, 35, was present for the birth, and both mum and baby are “doing well”, Kensington Palace said in a statement this afternoon.

Just seven hours after the birth, proud parents Kate and William showed off their new arrival to screaming royal fans.

The Duchess looked a picture of radiance in a Jenny Packham raspberry red shift dress with a printed Peter Pan collar, as she held her newborn baby in her arms to greet the excited crowds of people, who have been waiting to meet the new Prince.
