(Manama) – Firearms and explosives which were seized over the past five years in Bahrain went on display.

An exhibition showcasing the weapons and bombs which were confiscated since 2011 was held on the sidelines of the 12th edition of Manama Dialogue.

A security briefing session was also held under the patronage of Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa.

Addressing the event, Public Security Chief Major-General Tarak bin Hassan Al-Hassan highlighted statistics relating to the rate of crime, demographic growth, and the counter-terrorism operations.

He also shed light on the terror cells which were dismantled, the success of the police and security agencies in thwarting terrorist attacks, defusing bombs and arresting the plotters.
