HM King visits Ramadan majlises
(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited the majlis of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, the president of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The visit is part of HM the King’s keenness on meetings during the auspicious month of Ramadan. HM the King and guests at the majlis exchanged talks and greetings on the last 10 days of the holy month.
His Majesty stressed the importance of consolidating the principles of cooperation and brotherhood between all the sons of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the banner of their national unity and their Islamic values in a way that embodies the noble principles of our Islamic heritage.
The King stressed the importance of benefiting from this spirituality and faith of the holy month to strengthen national unity in order to preserve Bahrain’s gains that were achieved through the efforts of its loyal sons and daughters in all areas.
HH Shaikh Abdullah expressed gratitude to HM the King for the visit and for his keenness on communications with the people and prayed to God to grant him abundant health for the sake of the nation.
HM the King also visited the majlis of His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa where he held cordial conversations with the guests and wished Bahrain further security, progress and prosperity.
HM the King stressed that Ramadan is the month to strengthen the values and principles of communication and interdependence among the people of Bahrain and to promote the spirit of brotherhood and love among them.
He noted that the Ramadan councils represent a shining part of the heritage of Bahrain and should be preserved and consolidate its significance among young people and generations.
They have an important role in confirming the harmony between all in a manner that reflects the history of Bahrain’s heritage and the authenticity of its culture and strengthens the one-family spirit among the sons of the nation, HM the King said.
HH Shaikh Ali expressed gratitude to HM the King for the visit, saying that the majlis guests had the honour of interacting with him.
HM the King also visited the majlises of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa.
