Gulf human rights organizations’ efforts lauded
(Manama) – Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh received Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Human Rights, Isa Rashid, and praised the efforts of the Gulf civil society organizations operating in the field of human rights in highlighting the Gulf countries’ achievements in the same area.
Al-Saleh underlined the human rights organisations’ regional and international role in confronting interference attempts in states’ internal affairs under the pretext of defending human rights.
He stressed the Shura keenness to expand cooperation with human rights organisations to promote the legislative role.
Rashid lauded the Shura contributions to protect and bolster human rights in Bahrain, as well as supporting Arab human rights cases in international forums.
