GCC condemn Houthis’ targeting of holy Mekkah

(Riyadh) – Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has expressed the GCC countries’ firm denunciation and condemnation of the ballistic missile launched by the Houthi-Saleh militias towards the Holy city of Makkah.

Dr. Al-Zayani stressed that the brutal assault is a provocation to the feelings of Muslims and disrespect to the Islamic holy sites and their sanctity.

The attack is a clear evidence of the Houthi-Saleh militias’ refusal to obey the will and resolutions of the International Community, and its efforts to enforce the truce in Yemen and to reach a political solution to the crisis, he said.
