The deal was signed by Dr. Mohammad Ateeq Al Falahi, ERC’s Secretary-General, and Khaled Al Mehairbi, Senior Vice President of Government and Aero-political Affairs of Etihad Airways. The signing ceremony was attended by Mohammed Yousuf Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary-General of Support Services at the ERC and Adil Al Mulla, Vice President Procurement and Supply Management of Etihad Airways.
The terms of the agreement specify cooperation and coordination frameworks between the two parties so as to enhance opportunities for progress and achieve the UAE’s strategy on social responsibility, humanitarian issues and initiatives undertaken by the ERC locally and externally, as well as strengthen the ERC’s logistical capabilities with the company contributing facilities to the ERC for transporting aid and relief materials abroad.
It further promotes cooperation between the two parties in the areas of volunteering, and holding training courses for the staff of the company. Also, the company will contribute towards mobilising support for the ERC programmes and projects through promotion via its internal electronic website.
