(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC), has said the Compassion Campaign ‘Tarahamu’, which was launched upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and follow up of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to dispatch relief aid to the refugees and displaced people in the Levant, has achieved its objectives amid huge societal response.
He commended the support of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the ERC’s projects in the UAE and abroad.
Sheikh Hamdan made the remarks at Al Nakheel Palace while chairing the ERC Board meeting for the year 2015. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC and a number of ERC officials.
