
(Cairo) – The UAE participated in the emergency Arab League meeting in Cairo at the level of permanent representatives, convened at the request of Libya and with the support of Egypt and the UAE, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.
Dr. Nabil Elaraby, Secretary-General of the Arab League, was present. Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, the UAE’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, headed the UAE delegation.
Al Dhaheri affirmed that the UAE is very concerned about the deterioration of security conditions in Libya and repercussions on the neighbouring countries due to terrorist activities and the armed groups spreading to an unprecedented extent.
