Electricity minister receives IMF delegation

(Manama) – Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza has received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Dr. Mirza praised the world body’s role in international financial institutions and in the development of economies in various countries.

The minister gave the delegation a detailed presentation on the situation of electricity and water in Bahrain and the Electricity and Water Authority’s (EWA) future plans.

He said the EWA was ready to cooperate with the IMF to serve the interests of the national economy and for the country’s benefit and interest.

The delegation thanked the minister and EWA officials for the warm reception and hospitality, and for giving them the opportunity to get to know the general situation of electricity and water in Bahrain.
