Egypt will not give up its Gulf brothers: Al-Sisi

(Cairo) – Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi has said that Egypt would not give up its brothers in the Arab Gulf and that it would act to protect them if necessary.
Speaking to journalists after presiding over a meeting of the Egypt supreme council of the Armed Forces in Cairo, al-Sisi said Egypt followed a political course that sought to help everybody and avoid “losses.”
The Egyptian president said Arab national security should only be protected by Arabs themselves, noting that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is an issue of “Egyptian and Arab national security.”
