(Manama) – The National Committee for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, chaired by Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, the Undersecretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, convened.

Dr. Mohamed bin Daina, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment and a number of concerned entities in the Kingdom attended the meeting, which discussed the outcomes of the participation of the Bahraini delegation in 21st session of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons which was held in the organisation’s headquarters in The Hague.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the 2nd International Conference on Nuclear Security, which was convened in the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, and examined the monitoring process by ministries and relevant entities of the import and export of chemical materials included in the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The committee also discussed the workshops it will organise in 2017.
