Bahraini-Sudanese economic cooperation discussed

(Manama) – Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad, received President of the Sudanese Workers’ Trade Union Federation (SWTUF) Eng. Yusuf Abdulkarim Ali and the associating delegation to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two sides.

President of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation, Yacoub Yusuf Mohammed, BCCI CEO Dr. Khalid Al-Rowaihi were also present.

Al-Moayyad called for the development of mechanisms of cooperation between the private sector and the Bahraini-Sudanese economic activities, welcoming boosting economic action and bolstering partnerships among the three production parties to stimulate the national economies of both countries.

The SWTUF President said the visit coincides with the decision of lifting economic sanctions on Sudan, which will open up prospects for joint economic projects, it will also contribute to creating new jobs and expanding both countries’ investments in agricultural, trade and industrial fields.

He pointed out his country’s intention to open a branch of the Workers’ National Bank to strengthen relations bonding the two leaderships and their people, as well as the ongoing economic ties.
