Bahraini Engineers’ Day marked
(Manama) – A ceremony was held marking the Bahraini Engineer’s Day.

The Bahrain Society of Engineers’ held the event at its headquarters in Juffair under the patronage of Telecommunications and Transportation Minister Kamel bin Ahmed Mohammed.

Addressing the event, the minister paid tribute to first generation of engineers who laid the foundation for Bahrain’s urban development, developed the country’s infrastructure and contribute to the national economic strides.

He paid tribute to all Bahraini engineers who played a tangible role in the public and private sectors, including the urban and environmental fields.

The minister then honoured Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) members in recognition of their efforts.

BSE Chairman Masud Ibrahim Al-Hermi addressed the ceremony, stressing the importance of the event which, he said, which coincides with Urban October, World Habitat Day on October 1, and the World Cities Day which falls on October 31.
