Bahraini-British parliamentary cooperation discussed

(Manama) – Head of the Parliamentary National Block, member of Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, MP Abdulrahman Bu-Majeed received Head of Political and International Relations section at British Embassy, Catherine Rashid.

MP Bu-Majeed lauded the deep-rooted Bahraini-British relations based on mutual respect and interests.

He noted the importance of learning about the mechanism followed at the British parliament, benefiting from British parliamentary experience and exchanging expertise and visits to frame laws and regulations to contribute to maintaining the national security and stability and to counter terrorism.

Catherine Rashid praised the legislative and parliamentary progress witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the reform and democratic era of HM the King.

She stressed keenness to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, looking forward to discussing joint interests in future meetings.
