Bahrain, Thailand discuss cooperation
(Bangkok) – Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mullah held a session of talks with Thai National Legislative Assembly President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai. The Speaker warned against the danger of terrorism which is threatening societies and countries, urging cooperation between friendly countries to combat terror groups and foreign-backed organisations.
He stressed the importance of drawing up Bahraini-Thai parliamentary strategy to consolidate Asian cooperation and bolster bilateral relations in light of current global political and economic shifts. Al-Mulla is leading a delegation which includes Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman MP Abdulrahman Bouali, Services Committee Chairman, head of Bahraini-Thai Friendship Committee MP Abbas Madhi and Financial and Economic Affairs Committee member MP Adel Hameed.
The Speaker extended an invitation to Thai National Legislative Assembly President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai to visit Bahrain and discuss ways of bolstering joint cooperation. He also invited Thai investors in the educational sector to visit Bahrain.
