Bahrain-South Korean cultural cooperation discussed

(Manama) – President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received the South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, Park Ho, and discussed with him ways of enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries.
BACA President valued highly the ambassador’s efforts to strengthen Bahrain-South Korea cultural relations, stressing that culture is the best means to extend bridges of human dialogue and rapprochement.
She informed the ambassador about the cultural momentum in the kingdom, noting that BACA is currently holding the 25th Bahrain International Music Festival which runs until October 25. She also said BACA would carry out a series of cultural infrastructure projects before the end of this year.
The ambassador lauded BACA’s efforts aimed at enriching the cultural momentum in the kingdom, highlighting the importance of cultural events in enhancing rapprochement among peoples.
He also expressed readiness to cooperate with BACA in implementing joint cultural projects that enrich relations between the two countries.
He also unveiled the South Korean Embassy’s plans to prepare a cultural programme for the whole year, and organise a Koran cinema festival in the coming period.
