Arab Interior Ministers’ Council meeting held

(Tunis) – H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, arrived in the Republic of Tunisia leading a UAE delegation participating in the 33rd session of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council, which was inaugurated by Tunisian President Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi in the capital, Tunis.
Upon his arrival at Tunis Airport, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif was welcomed by a number of local ministers and senior officials.
The Arab Interior Ministers’ Council meeting examined a number of important issues, including reports from Member States regarding Arab security strategies, the fight against terrorism, the illegal use of drugs and psychotropic substances, traffic safety, and civil defence, as well as the follow-up report on the implementation of the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism.
The Minister of Interior was accompanied by a number of senior state officials.
