Ambassador to UK presents Bahrain horse racing trophy
(London) – Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, awarded the winner of the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket Racecourse.
The Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes was the feature race which is a Group 1 race for fillies and mares aged three-years- old and over. The race was won by Roly Poly ridden by Ryan Moore.
The Newmarket Racecourse has a long and rich history stretching back 351 years. The Kingdom has been a proud sponsor for The Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes for decades, dating back to 1978. The love and long history with equestrian sports and horses is shared between the two kingdoms.
Bahrain has been famous for centuries by organizing equestrian and horse racing events. Furthermore, it was one of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to make considerable efforts in supporting horses and developing its different races.
