(Abu Dhabi) – The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has announced that it has provided humanitarian aid worth over Dh602.4 million to the Syrian refugees.
It said that the humanitarian aid programme, which was launched at the beginning of the Syrian conflict, continues to help a greater category of Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries.
The ERC said that its staff operates in different countries neighbouring Syria to provide the aid.
It added that in co-operation with UNICEF, the ERC provided vaccines to immunise 1.6 million Syrian children against polio inside Syria, at a cost of Dh2.6 million.
