33rd Sharjah International Book Fair inaugurated

(Sharjah) – H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah said that the truth and virtue are two great books on earth surrounded by destruction. The Ruler of Sharjah made the remark while opening the activities of the 33rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair. The fair will be held from November 5 to 15 at Expo Centre Sharjah, with the participation of 1256 publishing houses from 59 countries.
He added that “he works harder to dispel these dark clouds so that the light of truth and virtue may shine through books.”
Sheikh Sultan said, “The Sharjah International Book Fair that celebrates its 33rd edition under the theme ‘Books for All’ is a great example of this position.”
The opening ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, son of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Essam bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of the Ruler’s office, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Central Department of Finance, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Seaports and Customs Department, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation and Sharjah Media Centre, and Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
