UAE will Remain major Provider of Energy: Sheikh Abdullah

(London) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, has reiterated that the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will continue to be a major global provider of energy. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah made his remarks at the inauguration of the London Array, the world’s largest offshore wind farm in the outer reaches of the Thames Estuary, off the coast of the United Kingdom.
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, was one of three partners who invested and developed the sophisticated wind power project. The inauguration was attended by UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, along with other dignitaries. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah said, “It’s an honour to have helped deliver this tremendous wind power project in the United Kingdom. Our countries share a long history and we continue to benefit from our strong bilateral relations. Since the first visit of our founding father, The Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the close bond between our countries has continued to grow”.
