
(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received visiting German Federal Foreign Minister, Dr Guido Westerwelle and his accompanying delegation in Al Ma’moura. General Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the minister and discussed with him bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in light of the distinguished friendship and mutual strategic interests.
During the meeting, both the leaders tackled the outcomes of the P5+ 1 negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear programme, in addition to the existing efforts to convene Geneva 2 Conference on the Syrian crisis. The two sides stressed that the continuation of regional and global efforts, dialogue and mutual trust were enough to resolve all dossiers to stabilise the region.
Also present at the meeting were H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; H.E. Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince’s Court; Nikolai von Schoepff, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE and the accompanying delegation of the German Minister.
