(Abu Dhabi) – Field Marshal Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, arrived in Abu Dhabi to attend a joint military exercise code named ‘Zayed 1’ between the armed forces of the two countries. H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed Al Sisi upon arrival at the Presidential Airport, and exchanged cordial talks with him.
Sheikh Mohammed and Al Sisi, also Commander-in-Chief of Egypt’s Armed Forces, emphasised the depth of bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and peoples and the resolve of Emirati-Egyptian leadership to bolster joint cooperation for serving mutual interest.
Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Lt General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Ehab Hamouda, Egyptian Ambassador to UAE, and a number of officials were also at hand to greet the Egyptian commander .
