
(Dubai) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, met the visiting Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, at Mina al-Salam Hotel, Dubai.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Bettel discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, especially in the areas of investment, trade, tourism and energy as well as the possibility of establishing partnerships between the two countries in various sectors. They also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern and on the latest regional and international developments.
Welcoming the Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdullah said, “The UAE is seeking to strengthen its ties with Luxembourg and to establish closer links and consultation in the light of international events, which require rapid and continuing mutual cooperation and coordination between the two countries.” He expressed the hope that there would be further co-operation in all fields, to strengthen relations in the interest of both countries and peoples.
Bettel said that his country has distinguished and developed links with the U.A.E., especially in the economic, trade, investment and tourism fields. The UAE, he said, held a prestigious status at both regional and global levels, referring to the country’s achievements in all fields.
The meeting was attended by the U.A.E. Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Suleiman Hamid Al Mazrouei.
