(Yokohama) – Cristiano Ronaldo saved Real Madrid from a stunning defeat in the FIFA Club World Cup final, scoring a hat trick against the Kashima Antlers.
The European Champions came from behind to beat hosts, Kashima Antlers, 4-2.
Ronaldo’s hat-trick delivered Real Madrid their second Club World Cup in three years. It was also Real’s 37th straight match without a loss and 26th since the start of the season, both new club records.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is now the first player ever to win the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the European Championship (with Portugal) and the Ballon d’Or in the same year.
