
(The Hague) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sideline of Nuclear Safety Conference met top leaders of the world at The Hague, Netherlands. United States President Barack Obama, Chinese President XI Jinping and Turkish President Abdullah Gul were among world leaders met with Pakistani Prime Minister in The Hague. The Prime Minister discussed matters of bilateral relations and mutual interests with world leaders.
The informal meetings were held on the sidelines of the two-day Nuclear Security Summit. The Prime Minister is accompanied by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry.
In his opening remarks at the ‘Informal Plenary on the future of the Nuclear Security Summit’, PM Nawaz Sharif said: “Pak nuclear programme poses no threat to any country; stresses N-security must not go off leaders’ radars; 35 countries pledge to turn guidelines into laws to keep terrorists from acquiring nuclear material”.
