
(Manama) – As part of the 5th Gulf Inmate Week, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa inaugurated at the City Centre an exhibition of handcrafts made by inmates . The event was attended by the General Secretary of Ombudsman and General Director of the Reformation and Rehabilitation General Directorate.
Shaikh Nasser hailed the efforts made to rehabilitate the inmates through active programmes and plans, highlighting that honing their skills could help them to take up jobs after serving their sentences. The Gulf Inmate Week, which will continue until December 28, is being held under the theme “Together to Achieve Reform “.
