
(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has welcomed all the participants in the Manama Dialogue 2016, organised by the Foreign Ministry in cooperation with the International Institute for Strategic Studies, IISS.
HM the King expressed hope that the forum will contribute effectively to strengthening the pillars of regional and global security, peace and stability.
HM King Hamad extended deep thanks to Dr John Chipman, Sir John Jenkins,the Foreign Ministry staff and their colleagues in IISS for their continuous efforts to organise the Manama Dialogue, hailing their success in bringing together high-profile participants to discuss pressing regional issues.
It is clear that the Middle East region and the entire world, now more than ever, face serious security challenges that can be confronted only through effective and constructive international cooperation, HM the King said.
For this reason, we, in Bahrain, have full conviction that the Manama Dialogue is of crucial importance, and we believe that your constructive participation in this year’s edition will contribute to preserving the security of our region and to fostering international understanding in general, HM the King said.
HM King Hamad wished the participants every success, and expressed hope to meet them in Bahrain again in the near future.
